Hello all,

I don't know if this has come up already, searching the database didn't get any hits.

When I open the Page Setup Manager and try changing things like: Plot Style Table, Papersize and Plot Scale it takes a long time to process it, with a long time I mean a few seconds. but nonetheless it is frustrating.

Any suggestions on fixing this, 'cause our "system manager" doesn't have a (censored) clue.

Thanks in advance

Only time I see such an issue is if the AutoCAD search paths for all your
plotting parameters contain dead links or point to devices no longer
available to AutoCAD or your system.
Well, the second instance was a dead-slow machine, but I will assume that is
not the case here :)

As for the second instance, nope :) Got the best comp in the office (bosses pet, LOL)

As for the first one, I've checked all links and none of them are dead.

I think I have got to live with it, or try persuade our system manager to check it out (again).

Thanks for the help Dean.

try to cahnge your profile and see if that will help
if so then check your support folders and printer folders within the profile and see if you are pointing to the right ones

Well, I tried to persuade the system manager (again) and to no avail. I tried to change profiles as you suggested geometre, no luck. I did find out something though, but that's for later and I need more time for it.

As for the golden child, ROFL, just had 2 new comps in the past 4 months, and I will be getting another one very soon, as we are getting a plug-in for ACAD.

Cheers!

If you are sharing ctb and pc3 files over your network, it takes a lot
longer to load things. Try moving these files local and setting the path
accordingly. There could be other things that networking will cause slow
downs, as well.
