New Computer |
|

We have a computer on the blink. I want to remove AutoCAD 2005 from the old machine, and install it on the new machine.
What is the correct procedure?

| Uninstall it from the old machine. Install it on the new machine. You can try to activate it online, but more than likely you will need to provide Autodesk or your Reseller with your Request Code for Activation. Of course, the details depend on your license type, etc. |

If it's the standalone license, you can use the Portable License Utility to
move it permanently. Install on the new PC first, then transfer the
license. See http://www.autodesk.com/activation.
