3M vertical mouse scroll zoom |
|
|
Due to repetitive stress injury, I have had to switch to a vertical mouse, but the scroll function is quite different from the typical scrollwheel found on "standard" mice.
I have become accustomed to scroll pan-zoom, and I keep thinking there has to be some way I can get this to work with my new mouse.
Is there any command I can put into a quickkey to get this to work? Does anyone have any experience with this mouse? Surely I am not the only CAD user with RSI?

I may have an alternate solution for you. I have use the Contour Shuttle
Pro successfully with ACAD 2002. It has a scroll wheel, and many other
buttons that you can program for different commands. This device is
designed for video editing, but does work with ACAD too.

Good luck.

Thanks, Russell, but that mouse looks terribly flat, and for that reason doesn't seem to be any improvement on my old mouse.
The 3M mouse I am using allows my wrist to assume a neutral position, and the scroll works okay, I just can't seem to get it to jive with pan-zoom on ACAD.

Is there a different way to zoom-pan like with the scroll wheel?

It's not a mouse - it's used in addition to a mouse, usually with your left
hand. Of course if you left hand is injured as well, then I suppose it
won't help you.
