I have been creating artwork in Adobe Illustrator, exporting as a dxf. and opening it in AutoCAD to resize and touch up any problems. I then take it to the machine shop to be opened up on a CNC machine, but the only thing that you can see are arcs. Splines don't show up. I even try grouping, doesn't seem to work. Is there a special way to get spline drawings to open on a CNC machine?

Will plines work on CNC? if it does then convert splines to plines.

You may try HL Solution's HL Curve for AutoCAD add-on which has the ability
to convert a spline object to other simpler entity types (arcs, bi-arcs, or
polylines) with user defined tolerance control or a fixed number of
segments.
