First let me say: This is not about license borrowing. After being used by particular users, licenses show up as if they are still in use. Restarting the license server restores the licenses but why do they stick.

We are having the same problem. I am going to set up a timeout in the
system this morning. Have you tried that (as opposed to restarting the
server)? I'm hoping I won't have to look into why.

This happened to us all the time and we kept running out of licenses as they were all deemed to be in use. I set the TIMEOUT feature to 15 minutes and the problem has never happened since.
