When for example 3/16 is typed, the mtext editor automatically converts it to a stacked fraction. is there any way to bring up the dialog box that contains this info, so that i can "uncheck" the box that automatically creates this, and go back to manually doing it myself?

Highlight the fraction, right-click, select Properties, perform all the
settings you need to remove the stacking from your setup.

Explore HELP in detail for assistance.

In 2005 you cant send more than one layout to the printer at a time, in 2002 you could send as many as you wanted and the printer would print in the order recieved, why did they change this? its a pain having to wait until each sheet is plotted.

There is a mode called "background plotting", this feature is only available
in AutoCAD 2005. Look at options dialog box.
There is not a way to make it in 2000 or 2004.
