Currently http://www.7-zip.org/ is winning... generally 30% smaller than
zip.

Microsoft codec avi's almost disappear.. 35Meg to 210kb with 7-zip and
ZipGenius could only manage 3.9kb.

Surely this is the future?

Hey Cam,

yes, 7zip is great for a higher compression (as well as RAR too).

The only shortcoming is maybe the GUI and that not every, at least
older, archiver can handle the format.
