need help-dtext text spacing |
|
|
Does anyone know how to change the text spacing on
the Dtext command? For instance, when I call up Dtext, it asks me for the
starting point, then the text height, ( I have 1-1/2" as default) then the
rotation, then the text . When I
hit return to enter in the next line of text, the distance between the two
lines of
text seems to be not quite enough. I need a text height of 1-1/2 minimum for
plotting clarity. Is there a way to adjust the text line spacing?
Any help appreciated.

The only way to change the spacing without a some sort of special add-on is
to modify the font (*.shp/*.shx) file you're using. Vertical spacing (as a
ratio of the text height) is fixed by the font definition file. I've never
found the default line spacing of AutoCAD fonts at all difficult to read.
However, if you really feel it's a problem, you might try RESPACE.LSP/.VLX

Thanks , I might try that.
What I have is a "Big Font" that is used for fractions.
It allows fractions to be displayed without the slash, and,
although the fractions numerals are smaller, they are stacked
on top of one another. When there is a fraction in a line of text, it gets a
little to close to the next line of text.
