GPO Failing |
|
|
After successful deployments for a number of stations, I'm now getting
failures with this series of entries in the Application log on the problem
machines:
#301
The assignment of application Autodesk Civil 3D 2005 from policy Install C3D
2005 succeeded.
For more information, see Help and Support Center at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.
So it's finding the GPO fine, and applying it.
Then I get:
#11606
Product: Autodesk Civil 3D 2005 -- Error 1606. Could not access network
location Autodesk\.
For more information, see Help and Support Center at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.
That shows twice, instantantaneously. Then one second later:
#102
The install of application Autodesk Civil 3D 2005 from policy Install C3D
2005 failed. The error was : Fatal error during installation.
For more information, see Help and Support Center at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.
#303
The removal of the assignment of application Autodesk Civil 3D 2005 from
policy Install C3D 2005 succeeded.
For more information, see Help and Support Center at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.
#108
Failed to apply changes to software installation settings. Software changes
could not be applied. A previous log entry with details should exist. The
error was : Fatal error during installation.
#1085
The Group Policy client-side extension Software Installation failed to
execute. Please look for any errors reported earlier by that extension.
Any ideas? Did something break? I've checked my GPO and it still seems to
point to the right path, and it installs correctly if done manually, but the
GPO seems to be looking for a path that doesn't exist. "Autodesk\" in the
#11606 error.
Thanks in advance!

Oh, and they're all XP machines, SP2, with the Windows Firewall off through
a GPO for the local connection.
