I've started using AutoCad LT 2004 and am not very familiar with its deeper
complexities. I've imported a few old .DXF files from a legacy CAD program
(long since deleted) and would like to return these files to their original
scaling so that I can measure components directly from the drawings.

Is it possible to scale a drawing by selecting a line of known length in the
imported drawing and using that to convert (force?) the whole drawing to
scale in pro?

Cheers,
-Neil F.

Yes. Just use the SCALE command; Select ALL objects, then the Reference
option. Pick two points on the not-to-scale drawing that for which you know
the "target" distance, then put in the actual distance when prompted for it.
You should be able to find everything you need to know in HELP (F1).
