Two questions |
|
|
1) Is there an online repository of 3d objects for AutoCad such as common hardware,
plumbing fixtures and architectural details?
2) I heard a rumor that AutoDesk is going discontinue AutoCad as we know it.
Anything to it?
Sorry if this is old news , I'm new to the group.
thanks all
Ben

Probably will, about the year 2098. There are many viable alternatives these
days, many with features that AutoCAD can't match. The one thing that
AutoCAD has going for it is that they did a very good job of marketing. Most
schools that have a drafting course use AutoCAD. Many government agencies
require the use of it. In the UK, AutoCAD is a requirement for City and
Guilds (I believe it is called) certification. |

True there is a City & Guilds for AutoCAD in 2D and 3D, but these are very
basic indeed, as this is the most common in industry
But there are also courses for the other CAD packages that are around but
these are hard to find just try finding one for Autodesk Inventor
