Something is getting imbedded within my drawing files that is causing them to grow to more than 3 MB when they should be no more than 500 K. I have used the PURGE command, but it has not been effective. Is there a command that can identify the "parasite" then eradicate it?

Thank you. That was the problem. There were HUNDREDS of layer filters to delete. Fortunately, I found a lisp routine that removed them in a second!

Thanks again!

Keep running that lisp. In versions prior to 2005, named layer filters
go along for the ride when drawing entities are copied between drawings.

I just got nailed with this. I got a piece of a drawing from someplace and
it had literally thousands of filters! I hit delete for 10 minutes and
barely made a dent. Any chance you could send me the lisp routine?

I tried this Lisp routine. It seemed to run, reported all the layer filters
deleted. However when I checked they all still seem to be there. Any idea
what the problem could be? This has really screwed up a drawing I have a
ton of time in.
