View Ports |
|
|
Ok, I want to show a floor plan, a side elevation, and a front
elevation in three separate View Ports. I'm using AutoCAD R14.
I set up AutoCAD in Paper Space with the three View Ports. When I add
my drawings, the floor plan, the side elevation, and the front
elevation are in all three View Ports. How do I separate the drawings?
Ya know, I want the floor plan in one View Port, the side elevation in
another, and finally the front in the last one. I just can't figure out
how to do it!
Thanks

you can freeze separate layers in separate viewports or move them each out
of view from each other viewport

If longshot's answer doesn't do it for you, maybe you don't
know how to 'enter' modelspace in a port and pan/zoom.
Command is : MODELSPACE, then click in the port.
Pan 'til you are close to your desired view, then ZOOM>1/yyyXP>Enter
where yyy is the scale of the drawing. PAN to adjust a bit.
The old MVSETUP also will scale a floating port, but seems klunky to me.
There is a point-and-kill lisp to easily turn off layers in a port on my
site. (pretty handy)

See the tutorial at
http://www.turvill.com/t2/documents
It's specifically written for R14 and earlier versions of "single" paper
space AutoCAD.
