ACAD Proxy Entities |
|
|
Does anyone know how to display/manipulate a Proxy entity created by someone
else in an architectural dwg?
For example: I keep seeing this recurring block called aecdoor on an a-door
layer, but it only shows up as a box with text around it.
I followed all of the proxy object tasks in the help menu, and none worked.
(The command proxygraphics set to (1) made no difference).

You need to install the Autodesk Object Enabler. It's a free utility that
can be downloaded from:
http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/dl/item?siteID=123112&id=2525483&linkID=2475161

This is the group for Autocad 2000. Is that the version you have? Do
you know what version of Architectural Desktop was used to create the
drawing?

There may not be one if you only have AutoCAD R2000: you will have to ask
the ADT user to explode the file for you.
