is it possible to place elements on the arc of ellipse

ellipse equiangularly(e.g. at 500mm interval). Is it possible?

Or, is it possible to assign distance along the line?
and how do you do it?

You can place "Active Point" at distance along element.

The celltools mdl also has that function, gives more options like rotation of cell, etc.
