Hi Everyone,

I am not sure this is the right group to discuss this issue, pls point
me to the right group if it's not.

On a client site, 2 users using either Autocad 2000 or Architectural
Desktop 3.3 are able to simultaneously open a file on the file server.
The second user that opens the file isn't initially warned that the
file is in use that they can only open it read-only. Instead, they can
open the document and edit it however when they try to save the file
they are told that the file is in use.

The server runs Windows Server 2003 and clients run XP Pro SP2. The
problem doesn't happen with other types of files such as Word documents.
Also other Autocad users on the same site don't experience this issue.

This leads me to believe that this is an Autocad setting. Any ideas?

Thanks,
--Levent
