Remember ArchT? Were trying to forget it, but…. |
|
|
Do any of you know of a script, program or a way to take older drawings created with ArchT (once owned by Ketiv and now owned by Autodsys) and convert their object to native AutoCAD entities without opening the drawing file?
We have experienced that if you do not use or have ArchT installed on you machine anymore, ADT or AutoCAD does not read the drawing’s steel shapes and detail components originally created with ArchT.
The drawings were originally created with ArchT on top of AutoCAD R14, but once you open the drawings in any version without the ArchT add on, those objects are lost…
Help!
Anyone experience this and knows how to resolve it?
The ultimate goal is to be able to batch convert thousands of older drawings with all these ArchT components without opening the drawings themselves and save them so that basic AutoCAD can run it.

I worked on Ketiv and delt with their programmers for over 3
years...seriously...startover...
There was a function within autocad that converted the drawings into plain
objects and purged Ketiv out...but I've lost track now...
