Hello all,
is there a way within ACAD to BIND image files(jpegs,tifs)??. I know for
Xrefs we can do a BIND. Thx again for any replies:).

thx R.K. Yah, that's one way. But i guess it's kinda limited in the Editing
option(ie. rotate, mirror etc.). Thus we have to set it up correct prior to
inserting in the dwg, unlike the regular IMAGE option.

I just found out it's quite different though in v2005. For some reason when
i do an INSERTOBJ, then select a file, when I do an ERASE command next,
it'll erase the OLE object. Thus it's quite "unsafe" if we accidentally do
an ERASE command.

No more 'unsafe' than erasing anything else in your file really, is it.

So as you can see, there is no way to "bind" an IMAGE entity. Unless you
consider using eTransmit to "bind" all referenced files into a zip file...

An OLE entity is 'bound' inside the DWG file. Didn't say it was a good
idea though.... :-)
