Is the first pline you pick on layer "0". Typically when you chamfer/filet
plines from 2 different layer, acad will force the new pline onto the layer
of the first item picked. I scanned a bit and couldn't find a variable for
that would force the new pline to the "0" layer (which isn't saying there
isn't one).

hallo again
a part of the problem is fixed now.
this problem appears only if one line is placed on the 0 layer.
but there is no difference by picking the line first or not.
if both lines are not on the 0 layer(but on different layers) this probloem does not appear.
thanks again

No problem. Thanks to you for the "this problem appears only if one line is
placed on the 0 layer. but there is no difference by picking the line first
or not." tidbit.

First one you pick controls 'layer' setting of the final Pline when one of
the entities you try to fillet/chamfer is a pline.
It's always worked like that, there is no variable around it.
