Paste Excel Spreadsheet |
|
|
Program: Microstation J
OS: Windows NT
Objective: Copy/Paste or import an Excel spreadsheet onto a dgn file
with all text and cell borders
Problem:
I have been attempting without success to place a spreadsheet onto a
dgn file by importing, copying and paste/paste special with the embed
and the link methods. I am only getting a portion of the worksheet to
appear (about 20%). It is not a very large sheet, 12 columns and 75
rows consisting of simple text.
Question:
Is there a way to place spreadsheet info onto a dgn file with text
spacing and column/row sizes intact?

Sounds like you have tried all the normal methods.
I'm using v8.5 so I don't really remember exactly any issue with "J"
IN excel Select the area of the sheet you want. Select at least one
row and one column beyond extents of the used cells, then hit
ctrl c > switch to the dgn file and paste. If you don't select the
spreadsheet data you're lible to get too much at the bottom or the
sheet's cut-off on the right side.

Have a look at www.askinga.com. There are several ways and should be
possible.
Hilite the area in the spreadsheet copy and ustn>EDIT>PASTE SPECIAL and look
carefully at the prompts.
