Re: COGO in microstation any recommendations? |

Hi Nathan. I am currently working on this myself. I have seen Geopak and
Civilpak for V8, but agree with you on the awkwardness. I am trying GWN
today because I have used it forever; easy to use, feature based. Next is
InRoads Site. Eagle Point is on the list as well. All of our calcs. /
balance / adjustments are done in a separate COGO product (Microsurvey) so
we require minimum cogo capability. I don't have dollars yet but I am
guessing that GWN is pretty reasonable (maybe most bang for the buck). I am
assuming you are after something for V8?
ms_cogoV8.exe at http://www.gwnsys.ca/ReleasedSoft.html .
BTW, I have started a thread "survey applications" in bentley.general
(news.viecon.com).

Primarily using for subdivision calculation, will need to import and
export
ascii coordinate. Currently using old survey menu bar to work between C&G
coordinate files and Geopak coordinate files. Rumor has it that the menu
bar
will not work in V8. Any recommendations? Please don't say Geopak Survey,
I'll use Geopak to create cl chains for our engineers, but it's way too
awkward for large subdivision calculation.
