Am using Assura RCX to extract cap parasitics. Extraction of
sub-blocks of the circuit work fine ( Extract to Avextract view).
When I attempt to extract the top block I get the following error
message:

*WARNING* /home/cadsw/cad/cadence/v4.4.6-assura/tools/assura/bin/rcxToDfII
exit
with bad status
*WARNING* Segmentation Fault
*WARNING* Assura execution terminated

This error does not occur when I extract to a Spice file.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Sunay

Hello Sunay,

I have seen a similar problem with an older Assura release. You can
check your version, and release date with:

Quote:
assura -V
assura -W

Current release is 3.1.2USR1, released around July 2004, with a new
release any time now - would recommend this as a first step, if your
version is older than this.

You might also try re-running RCX with selected nets, rather than
full-chip all nets.

Good luck,

Paul
