Greetings:

I am wondering if Pro/E (WF2) has something similar to Find & Replace
non parametric text string like Notepad or Wordpad. For instance I
have several (thirty some) notes on a drawing with a text string MSUBC
and would like to change them all to MSUBB. I hope that there is a
better way than double click and edit each note individually.

Thanks in advance for your time and help.

Have a great week-end everyone.

John

Fraid not. The search stuff within Pro/e is coming along, by leaps and bounds, at
least the variety of what can be found. But, the object/oriented approach, what
you can do with it, is lagging/lacking. You can find all notes, for instance, with
'Edit>Find' (or the binocular icon). But, to seach within the notes, to seach for
particular text, and to replace some text with other text, to generally modify the
style of said text? No, they are still a way away from this more useful, basic,
simple Windows-type functionality. Even the idea of storing and spreading
different, named text styles is a little 'out of character' for Pro/e. Maybe WF3
or 4.
