Getting a license file from ptc is a very good thing. When they emailed it to you,
you should have saved the attachment to a publically accessible folder. When you
started the install program and went to the next page, it asks for a 'License File
Path' and gives you a folder icon to browse to the licese file location. Browse to
where you've stored the license file ptc sent you and all should be well if you
bought the SE from JourneyEd. Or, at least somebody did. And it was the patched
version. It's complicated, you know.

You can open the license.dat file with a text editor like notepad and
modifiy it to correct problems.
When you get - "flexlm -5,357" this is an error code of -5. So if you
do a search for "flexlm -5" with google or altavista and read the
different explainations for -5 error you might be able to solve this
your self.
See this link:
http://www.macrovision.com/services/support/enduser/chap13.htm

Also, if Pro E installed fine you do not need to reinstall just modify
the license.dat file.
When you start Pro E and get the error message window maximize the
window and make you read it all.

The makers of Flelm:

The end user file - basicly the owners manual for flexlm licensing:

Most of the software problems people have originate with licensing,
the more you know the better off you will be.

Steve

P.S. Flexlm causes a thirst for Windsor Cokes!
