Perhaps the fix is the same as in AutoCad...........

Here's the scenario:

I create a rectangle. I select it to change size and when I try to pull on
side to make it larger the rectangle increases size in both directions
[around a central axis?]instead of just the direction that I'm pulling it. I
only want to lengthen the rectangle in one direction.
