select |

Hi,
And now a simple one...I have troubles using the SELECT command!
I type SELECT then....something(L,P, etc) but I don't know how to use the "highlighted" objects after this. It seems like all the other commands are inactive before I exit the SELECT command and lose everything that was selected. So I thick the question is...how do I use the SELECT command?
Thanks!

On the next command (e.g.: MOVE) when the command prompt asks you to select
objects, simply put in a P[enter] for Previous... as in Previously SELECTED
objects.

Tracy's right of course.
For background, this command goes way back, long before there was such a
thing as noun/verb selection. It allowed you to build a complicated
selection set without having a command active. Nowadays, you can use implied
windows/crossings, shift-pick, and so forth to accomplish the same thing,
and the set remains active.
IMHO it's really an obsolete command, I rarely have occasion to use it
anymore. |

Thanks Tom,
you are right about the SELECT command however the "previous" and "last" options are still useful |
