(Acad 2000)
I just got trouble with line ,if I create a line and I would horizontal line
,it line can't work it only vertical,I don't know what happened on my
cad,not only line including "construction line" , "polyline",and arc
disappeared if we create,how to solve this problem ?,any setvar change?.

Look at the bottom of your screen, just above the status bar. You should see
a bunch of buttons. Do you see one that says "ORTHO"? If so, does it appear
to be pushed in (the top and left edges of the button are black)? If so,
then ORTHO mode is turned on, and lines will be horizontal or vertical.

Move your mouse over this button and click once. The ORTHO button should no
longer appear pushed in. The top and left edges should be white. ORTHO mode
should be disabled, and you should be able to draw lines in any direction.

Your UCS has been twisted - your horizontal is actaully along the z axis. Restore the UCS to World co-ords. Turn on your UCS icon to to see the effect.

Hi Jim , here solve my problem,thanks a lot and I never got like this ,this

ORTHO is Dead.... POLAR is the only way to go.

Its because your not drawing in an X-Y axis. Your UCS is flipped.

Type in UCS and W for world

Set snap to 0. I don't know why but that solves it.

You can't set snap to 0. Snap value has to be positive & nonzero.
