Is there any way to create text to fill in autocad? As you can justify the text to fill in word can this be done in Autocad?

No, as you have found out in MTEXT command and HELP documentation.

Seems to me that you have an answer for a lot of things but nothing you say is good.

Don't blame the messenger when you don't like the message. He's just telling
it like it is.

Agree w/PT: This is an open forum, not a clinic for dlb1's personal edification.

Try the Cadalyst "get the code" site, look for;

; TIP764.LSP JUSTIFY.LSP Justify Text (c)1992 Neil P. Devine

And be nice to Dean, he knows a lot and IS very helpful to many.

But unfortunately this messenger's message is usually delivered in a
sarcastic or condescending tone.

In Dean's defense, he, like many of us are bone-tired of seeing these NGs
used as a substitute for the F1 key (among other abuses). I can't overstate
the number of times I'm tempted to respond in a similar manner; it's just
that Dean (and one or two others, like OLD-CADaver, usually beat me to it.

This questioner's questions have been at a pretty basic level, and if you'll
look in the various groups you'll see where Dean has pointed him toward an
answer on a number of occasions -- more than any other single responder, and
sometimes when nobody else has reponded at all. I don't detect sarcasm or
condescension in any of those replies.

In no case that I can find has the questioner ever said thanks, or answered
Dean's followup questions which would have led to additional more specific
help. Now he suddenly whirls around and snarls at Dean for telling him the
truth. Looking at the history of their interaction, and at this specific
exchange, I can't see any justification for the nastiness of his tone.

Posing elementary questions in these groups isn't really a very effective
way to learn AutoCAD. Snapping at people who have helped you wouldn't seem
to be a very effective way of getting more help.

I simply meant that when answers com from him they shouldnt be so sarcastic or snappy. Granted he has answered a few of my questions, But the answers dont need to be put in such a manner that it sounds as if he is superior.

I don't get it! I have seen people talk of tone and attitude from others in these ngs. I'm not just talking of Dean. How can you get a tone from a short to the point answer.

True, some do not embellish when they answer a question, some answer a question with a question. Usually it is meant to show someone they could have answered the question themselves.

I'll be the first to admit the help files within AutoCAD suck. I think they read more like an advertisement than anything. I know I can do it, HOW? The majority of the questions I have are answered by searching the ngs. Sometimes I have to post. When I do I assure you I have looked. Before you must eat the fish, try to catch your own.

thank you to person for the help offered...but hey! Be polite when you help! After all that's why we're here right *rolleyes*

sure, say "thanks"

but do we really need to sacrifice the bandwidth to say "you're welcome" ?

(just to let all know that in the few instances where i was able to help,
and was thanked, that i silently acknowledge the thanks)

LOL
Poster1:
Thanks for the help! its appreciated
Poster2:
np,you're welcome, have a good day
Poster1:
thank you
Poster2:
You're welcome!
Poster1:
No, no YOU'RE welcome

It's just that acknowledgement for the free and totally optional help provided by the people here is the least that could be given back IMO. But people have the nerves to complain about the help given to be not on a sliver plate or not the 'gimme your hand and ill walk you through this' type of help.

How many post would go unanswered if it wasn't for Dean alone? Sometime, the truth is, a little F1 in acad is way faster than some F5 in here, even most don't bother to just look DOWN the same page they are looking at for the SAME topic is right there...but most get some help nonetheless...and complain about it too while don't even offer a simple thx in exchange...that makes me not angry but sad :o(
