I have a drawing with an x-reference attached to it. My drawing has 30+ layouts and when I am in a layout I switch into model space and freeze and thaw the layers (layers are from the x-ref'd file) with the current viewport toggle. All seems good. However, when I exit the drawing and get back in later, all the layers that I froze in the viewports are back on.
Is there a setting for x-ref's that controls this?

Options - Open and Save - Retain changes to xref layers. This variable is
saved with the drawing.
