hello caders, i've got a problem when i print drawings on an océ tds 600 using the postscript driver. lines are printed realy thick and several thickness-values don't seem to be distinguished at all in prints (for example, thickenss values 0.05 mm, 0.09 mm ... 0.20 mm are printed alike, i.e. with the same thicness). i thought that it could be an application-related issue. i've tried printing directly from a dwg file, then i converted it to a pdf and printed that first from the adobe acrobat pro (ver. 7) and then from the latest adobe reader. the results were quite alike. if i want lines to be thin, i just have to set thickness to 0.05 mm. but it's no solution for me, since i mainly print other people's files, mainly pdfs. and those people expect their lines to be thin as defined and their texts to be legible (yes, the texts are also printed with really thick lines).
when i print via the non-postscript oce driver, lines are quite alright. but there are other issues with this driver - i'm not able, e.g., print on custom-defined page sizes, it never goes out correctly.

it really seems that there is something wrong with the ps driver (in fact, with both my drivers...), so i'm going to ask our it administrator to reinstal and update the drivers on the server. i hope it will help. but what if it doesn't? i thought maybe someone could give me a hint, maybe someone has met with similar issues. thanks. jan.
