Emailing drawings with Raster Images |
|
|
Hi, I can't see if this has been covered before, but apologies if it has.
I am trying to email a drawing containing a raster image, but on arrival with its recipient, it is just a file path, not the image.
I'm doing some freelance work for someone who wants to use their logo on the drawings, and send the cad files out by email to clients.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Images & xrefs do not "bind" to the drawing, you need to send these files, and any other support files as well, such as special fonts, plot configuration, etc.
Use the command "etransmit" which gathers up all the necessary files into a zip file. |

Thanks Carl. I have tried Etransmit, but the image still does not appear, even though it seems to be included in the transmittal report. Any ideas?

| Did etransmit create a zip folder. which included several files including the main drawing, xref drawings, image files, ctb or other flot files, shape/font files. & a text file with a list? Someone opening a drawing from within this folder should get all the needed support files to view properly. |
