I am trying to create a macro that can detect if a selected surface is 2D or 3D. I have found a command that may be useful... isPlane, but it appears that the command will only work on objects that are of the Surface type.

Is there something I can do to force the selected face to be a surface, or is there an easier way to be able to detect if the selected face is 2D or 3D?
