I am the initial learner of Autocad (using Autocad 2007)

I need to prepare a layout which enables me to arrange 6 segments of vacuum rings ( A-OD and B-ID) from a rectangle plate.

I have drawn one segment.

Can anyone help me how (by using which "Modify" commands and "How" step-by step) I can arrange the other 5 five segments, so that, they are not overlapping with each other and at the same time no extra space between each segments?

To be precise, the arc having larger radius (of bottom segment) will "just" touch the end point of smaller radius of top segment.

The "copy" command could achieve much of your wishes.
Type "copy" or select from menu; select object; for "base point" type "cen" then select object; for destination point specify "x,y" location to place copy (1 diameter to the right of original) or type "@x,y" for relative x,y distance from base point. Many other ways to do it as well.

Let me explain to you the real problem.

I can copy other five segments just below of first segment.

The arrangement should be such that, any one point on the bottom arc having larger radius will "just" touch the endpoints of top smaller arc.

Can you show me the tick for that, so that, there will not be any overlap or no extra space will be wasted between adjacent arc segments?

Thanks

Mac
