Which CAD program to learn? |
|
|
I know many of you have extensive knowledge of many CAD programs, so I am hoping someone will know which way I should go.
I need to learn a CAD program with 3 purposes in mind.
1- I design furniture of all kinds, wood, metal, upholstered etc.... and will be having furniture manufactured
2- I will need to show clients the proposed furniture and the interiors in which they will be used
3- Occasionally renditions of the exterior of building remodels will be needed also.
What program out there would be best? I am currently taking an introductory course to AutoCAD at a local community college and am not conviced this is the best course, but what do I know.
Thanks in advance

You should learn AutoCAD for general drafting, and 3D Studio Max/Viz for modelling and presentation. _________________ http://www.pinoycad.org | Your daily dose of AutoCAD Tutorials |

Solidworks. You can make 3-d parts, or do 2-d sketches, and the parts look awesome when you show them to the customer. You can also rotate the part around, showing fine detail.
Also, you can make an exploded assembly of the finished product
Showing what is involved in the build, and all the features of the product. |
