We send raster files such as Jpeg, tiff and pdf to KIP6000 plotter using the Powerprint request software. For a few days after the plotter was set, Powerprint request has worked fine but now Powerprint request does not connect to the plotter. We can ping to the plotter though and no problem sending plots with interplot or microstation plot software. It seems if we re-boot the plotter, the connection returns for a while then somehow disconnect itself. We don't like to boot the system too often. Is there a remedy for this problem ? Am I the only one having this problem ?

Request has a buffer that needs to be cleaned out manually when problems as this occur. They are folders with weird names like "RADEWUCI" or "HUMOGTEB" - Notice the vowel/consonant sequence? Usually request will automatically hang up or shut down. You must access these files through the request software, the files reside on the computer in the KIP6000. Should be under the request folder and these will be the ONLY folders in this folder. If there are any more files or folders, then this is the wrong folder.

thanks for your info. I have cleaned those files, still connection was lost and I again have to restart the plotter. There has to be something else.
