Hi

I created a Network deployment image of AutoCad 2005 to run as a package
installer using Active Directory. This worked fine and installed on the
client with no problems. But when the client starts Autocad it is saying it
will run for the 30 day trial period, does this mean the standalone version
has installed ?????

I re checked the msi package installer using the network deployment wizard
and it is definately configured for network licence for single server.

Am I right in saying if the 30 day period appears on the client then it is
the standalone version that is installed and not the network version?

also (to try and find what went wrong) if the msi package was created and
set to network licence version before the licence manager was installed
would it default back to the standalone version because it could not find
the licence manager ??

any help would be appreciated

regards

Steve

Yes.

Something doesn't match here.

Yes. Confirm with Help | About | Product Information.

No. It's perfectly valid to deploy the standalone license image. Something
didn't work.

I have the same problem and have been told my ACAD support company that I must delete the whole AutoCAD network installation (including cleaning the registry). Then re-install surely there has to be an easier solution. I now have 7 days left on my trial period and am getting very nervous....

On the client machines regedit Hkey_local_machine\software\AutoDesk\AutoCAD\R16.1\...\ADLM\type from 2A (hexadecimal = standalone) to 19 (=NLM)
