hi
i've just started using autocad in work
this might be a really simple question but i can't figure a quick way of doing it.

i have drawn a square 800mm x 600mm using the rectangle tool

i want to draw another smaller square 400 x 200 and have it centered within the larger square.
is there an easy way to center this smaller square

i'm yet to have autocad lessons

Hi mogse,
look at this
Command: _rectang
Specify first corner point or [Chamfer/Elevation/Fillet/Thickness/Width]: 0,0 (choose at 0,0)
Specify other corner point or [Dimensions]: 800,600
Command: _offset
Specify offset distance or [Through] <200.0000>: (hit enter)
Select object to offset or <exit>: (select length line)
Specify point on side to offset: (put cursor in center or top from line)
Select object to offset or <exit>: (hit enter)
