I'm having an occasional problem with 2006 refusing to accept a keyboard
entry for a command or for part of a command. The most recent example
involved trying to insert blocks from a directory not on the search path.
The command in question inserts the drive and directory from a digitizer,
then the block name is input from the keyboard. Most of the time this works
fine - as it always has. But yesterday in one drawing it would not work at
all. Also occasionally I'll input a one or 2 letter command, hit return and
be rewarded with a beep and nothing else. Usually hitting escape and trying
again will be successful.

Any ideas what may be wrong?

PS: This is the only issue I'm having since my upgrade from 2002. This is
the easiest upgrade I've had since 1986! (your mileage may differ)

I've been experiencing the same problem. for now I have just changed the commands I use most commonly to simple, single text commands and wait for autodesk to issue some kind of fix. I'm only assuming they will because it's such an irritating issue that I am experiencing widely with the 2006 version.
