Can anyone recommend a good textbook to learn architectural drafting? I
am trying to learn it on my own. I am already somewhat proficient in
AutoCAD. What I need most is a book to teach me all the technicalities
and standards of architectural drawings.

I have an Architectural tutorial for TurboCAD but is actually movies instead of text, but may help you with learning to design homes. The package includes an architectural template. It runs about 5 1/2 hours and also includes the plan that was designed in the tutorial.
