I seem to be having problems creating a deployment image for Civil 3D 2005. It just seems to hang and never finish. I had a similar problem when I created an image for LDT 2005 and found that I just needed to disable my virus software while creating the image. But that doesn't seem to help in this case.

Any ideas what the problem might be?

I had a similar issue with LDD 2005.
I went to a workstation installed the NIW locally and built the server image from the workstation.
Don't know why this worked but it did. I did have a tech here from my reseller who suggested that as a workaround.

That's what I have always done. I never put the NIW on the server.

I still haven't gotten this to work well. The image I created basically took about 10 hours to complete. Which is a little rediculous.
