I've created an administrative image on the network.
It installed fine on my machine. But a few other machines I just get a blink of an hourglass, then nothing. The install does not work. Any Clues? The latest FlexLM is installed. I've got images of MAP3D and ACAD 2005. Everyone is running ACAD 2002. The net install of 2005 just doesn't 'go'.
Lyle.

1. Check the log file in \\server\share\product\AdminImage\Log. If there
are no entries, make sure the user that is installing has read/write
privileges to this location. Maybe this log file will provide a clue as to
what is wrong.

2. Is there enough disk space?

3. Is IE6 installed?

4. Does the the shortcut that you are using point correctly to the
deploy.exe file?

5. Is anti-virus temporarily disabled?

6. Firewall in XP, sp2?

7. Running out of ideas...

Sincerely,

Make sure Microsoft Dot Net Framework is installed before you try the acad install.

Does it even create a logfile in the user's temp directory (usually
c:\documents and settings\username\local settings\temp for Win2k+)

If you create a silent mode deployment and the target computer has a problem
such as wrong OS or wrong version of IE then the install will back out
without error. If you look at the deployment log in the adminimage folder
you should see an entry with a reason the deployment failed.

That was it. The Net thing.
Checking the install log revealed it.
Thanks for all the responses.
