is it possible to update many files at once without having to open them? I
have a server full of files that are too old for my acad now to show a
preview unless I open each one & save it to 2000. I have a few cad stations
on 2004 & a few on 2000i & a few on LT

TIA
Rob

If you have 2004 you should be entitled to download the "Batch Drawing
Converter" from the AutoDesk web site. That will allow you to select a batch
of drawings and convert them.

if that batch converter program does not work for you
you can download AutoScript generator and an simple "qsave" "exit" command
can do what you need.

Batch Drawing Converter does not add preview thumbnails. We use MultiBatch to do things like this.
