Hi there

I have general and inconsistent plotting problems with Volo View 3,
which revolve around plot scale and cropping of margins.

To cut a long story short, when plotting to our HP DesignJet 500 42" I
often find that either the scale measurements on the drawing (as
measured with a scale rule) are wrong, or the borders (or even edges of
the drawing) are cropped.

I always set scale to 1:1, paper size to ISO A1 or A0, and have tried
selecting extents and layout print modes, but it never seems to help.
Specifying oversize paper doesn't do a lot of good either. I've also
specified a nonprinting area of 0 on all sides for the plotter, to no
avail.

Now, because this only happens with some drawings I'm inclined to blame
to originator for not setting things up properly, but before I do that
I would love to know what the "best practice" is for resolving this
sort of thing. Anyone got any suggestions?

TIA

Dan Walker
