What is the exact equation used by the tangent() function in the
waveform calculator when plotting something on a log-log plot?

Basically I'm trying to plot tangent lines for the 1/f^3 and 1/f^2
regions of an oscillator phase noise plot.

It seems from experimenting that the X and Y points are X in Hz and Y
in dBc/sqrt(Hz) for the point you want to cross through. The slope
parameter seems a bit strange. It doesn't seem to be dB/log(freq/1Hz)
which is what I would have expected.

The manual gave almost no help. It basically restates the text which
already appears in the calculator dialog box.

Thanks
-Dan
